CARL OWENS

Born and raised in the Charleston area, owner and founder Carl Owens has been in the homebuilding business for 20+ years. While earning a degree in Construction Science and Management with a minor in business from Clemson University, Carl began his construction career by framing houses in resort neighborhoods on and around the Lake Keowee, Hartwell and Jocassee areas. Learning the trades of construction from the ground up has served to be an extremely valuable tool and learning device for the success of Carl Owens Contracting. Carl believes very strongly in a hands on construction experience and he can be found daily on every site giving each the personal attention it deserves.

After graduating from Clemson University, Carl went on to work with a national homebuilder in the Charleston area. In three years he built over 200 homes, learned the importance of scheduling and was the head of the construction of two area neighborhoods. Carl has numerous repeat clients that have entrusted him with multiple projects. Today Carl Owens Contracting builds all over the entire Lowcountry.

Carl resides in Awendaw with his beautiful wife, Ashley and their daughter Ellington. He spends his spare time enjoying Clemson football, bird hunting, tending to his horses and spending time in the North Carolina mountains with family.
